Circular trail Geoss

The GEOSS circular trail runs through the wider GEOSS area. It is about 12 km long, with a total difference in altitude of 350 m (ascent 350 m, descent 350 m; the highest altitude point is Slemšek at 667 m), with a maximum difference in altitude of about 150 m, and a walking time of about three to four hours. It passes by the main sights of the immediate area of Vače. It includes Vače, Klenik, with an enlarged copy of the Vače situla, the archaeological sites of Krona with a prehistoric settlement, Slemšek, Mačkovec and GEOSS. The route starts in the village of Slivna and returns there. It is marked with “GEOSS circular trail” signs and individual markers. The trail has its own leaflet with a description and instructions to help you to walk it successfully on your own.
