Primskova Gora above Šmartno pri Litija is famous for the remains of one of the most powerful defensive camps in Slovenia, for its pilgrimage route with 3 churches and for the energy points studied by the famous priest Jurij Humar, “the wonderworker from Primskovo”.
The mountain with the chapels of the Stations of the Cross is an attractive excursion destination for history lovers, pilgrims and those seeking peace and health from nature.
In the middle of a landscape of vineyards, pastures and forests are the parish church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary, the Romanesque church of St Peter with the tomb of the Bogenšperk nobles, and the church of St Nicholas, which is the youngest of the camp churches, but which was mentioned by Janez Vajkard Valvasor in his Fame of the Duchy of Carniola (“Slava Vojvodine Kranjske”).
Many visitors to Gradišče visit the grave of the parish priest and folk doctor Jurij Humar and his nearby energy points.
