Project description:
HUMAN Project is an international initiative that brings together 12 partners from 10 countries. Beside Development Centre of the Heart of Slovenia, the Slovenian partner is also University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Electrical Engineering (Multimedia Laboratory). Ministry of Health will also be involved at the national level.
Healthcare 5.0 is a new vision for healthcare that leverages cutting-edge technology to improve the accessibility, equity, and efficiency of health services. The project’s goal is to create a system that is affordable and accessible for all. HUMAN will enhance the effectiveness of policies in eight European regions, contributing to the development of new digital health projects and better funding opportunities for initiatives aimed at vulnerable groups.
The main objective of the project is to transform regional and local policies to support innovative healthcare solutions, such as:
- e-health (provision of health services remotely),
- human-centered care,
- service accessibility,
- digital literacy and inclusion in healthcare.
Together with participating countries, we will exchange knowledge and good practices that are relevant and transferable to Slovenia. The project will include several international study visits, which will also be open to interested stakeholders from Slovenia, as well as six stakeholder workshops on national level.
In the Heart of Slovenia are, we aim to encourage new local projects in cooperation with health centers and elderly care homes (potential funding through the LAG Heart of Slovenia call), while also advocating for changes at the national level by involving key stakeholders, particularly Ministry of Health. We will promote collaboration between municipalities, SMEs, and start-ups in developing innovative healthcare solutions.
The HUMAN project will focus on bridging gaps in legislation and strategies and contribute to making healthcare services accessible and equitable for all—especially vulnerable groups such as the elderly and people with disabilities.
