Vodiškar’s thatched-roof farmhouse is a unique museum of the life of our ancestors. The oldest part of the house is the 500-year-old cellar. You are invited to warm up in the house by the wood-burning stove and look at interesting objects from the past.

Did you know that the Church of St George by the Lake is the oldest church in the Kamnik region?
On the site of today’s Vodiškar’s House, a manor house stood in the late 10th century, and together with St George’s Church, it was part of the property of the Border Counts of Kranj, who had their administrative seat in Nevlje.

Have you ever held 1000-year-old sherds in your hands?
In Štljivlec you can visit the archaeological exhibition Vodiškarjev dvor, which includes richly telling artefacts from the Slavic era to the present day.

On their family farm, they offer their own organic products, produced with love and in harmony with nature: apple juice, vinegar, eggs, jams, teas, milk, garlic pesto … The products are available for purchase, and tastings can be arranged on request.
Their orchard grows Slovenian native and traditional varieties of apple trees: (bobovec, carjevič, gorenjska voščenka, goriška sevka).

Their cows and chickens graze on a variety of indigenous medicinal plants: arnica, motherwort, prickly pear, mountain heather, yarrow. The varied natural environment of their farm attracts a wide variety of wild animals: foxes, martens, squirrels, herons, hedgehogs, blackbirds, starlings …
