In the valley of Kamniška Bistrica, right next to the lower station of the funicular to Velika Planina, is the renovated Pod žičnico (Under the cableway). It is famous for its homemade Slovenian dishes, game dishes and freshwater fish, as well as specialities such as sprat and Tuhinjska trout – two locally renowned dishes from the Taste of Kamnik project. Among the desserts, guests will be delighted by the original sweet mountain.
Many of the recipes for a la carte dishes, hot and cold starters, spoon dishes, main courses and desserts have been created in collaboration with Tejani Kitchen, which has designed original cooking approaches and menus for Pod žičnico.
The restaurant with views of the Kamnik Alps seats 100 people outside and 40 people inside.
