Project Description:

The SUST_ENT Erasmus+ project focuses on developing skills to support the growth of rural enterprises in the fields of sustainability and the green transition. It aims to encourage companies to adopt environmental measures and contribute to climate change mitigation. Within the project, research will be conducted on the needs of rural areas and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), good practices will be presented, and interviews will be carried out with entrepreneurs from the project regions. Based on the findings, a training curriculum will be developed for working with entrepreneurs in the Heart of Slovenia region, and a final international event with a study visit to Italy will be organized.

The main project activities include:
Survey – identifying the needs of rural enterprises and SMEs in the field of sustainability and the green transition.
Training curriculum and capacity building – preparing materials and training vocational education trainers based on the developed curriculum.
Local training programme – training SMEs on sustainable practices that contribute to climate change mitigation.
Study visit and international event – a meeting of SMEs from Slovenia, Latvia, and Italy to exchange ideas and knowledge for potential future projects, including a study visit to Italy.
