Vegova memorial trail

The educational trail connecting Dolsko and Zagorica pri Dolskem and Moravče takes you to the place where Jurij Vega, the famous mathematician and artillery journalist, walked more than 250 years ago. You can start at the cultural centre in Dolsko, continue to Žerjav Castle and then to Vega’s homestead in Zagorica, where there is also a small Vega museum. You can finish your journey at the Baron Jurij Vega monument in the old town centre of Moravče or by returning back to Zagorica. The trail leads through meadows and forests, with individual climbs in between offering beautiful views of the landscape.
