The central themes of European Union development are the creation of new jobs for vulnerable groups, the establishment and further development of micro, small, and start-up companies, especially in the field of green entrepreneurship, and stimulating the recovery from the situations created by Covid-19 and the economic crisis. The Microfuture project aims to tackle the aforementioned challenges by providing consultations and practical knowledge in the field of microfinance to all interested vulnerable groups and entrepreneurs. With the desire to promote entrepreneurship, it advocates for microfinance in six European regions and encourages local stakeholders in the mentioned European Union member states.
The goal of the project is to identify best practices of European Union member states participating in the project through interregional cooperation and improve policies in the field of microfinance.
Socially vulnerable groups, such as youth, women, unemployed individuals, people with disabilities, and the elderly, have excellent business ideas that they find difficult to realize due to a lack of funds and knowledge in acquiring financial resources. We believe that these groups only need more support in the initial stages of starting their first business or in further successful expansion. By providing services and knowledge in the field of microfinance, we can appropriately motivate and support such vulnerable groups.
With the project, we will further support the goal of developing microfinance in the local environment, which is also promoted by the Local Action Group of the Heart of Slovenia.
The Development Centre of the Heart of Slovenia also leads communication in the MICROFUTURE project, ensuring broader project promotion.
Through workshops, seminars, and successful applications for microfinance funding, we will contribute to the faster recovery of micro, small, and start-up companies, especially in the fields of green and digital entrepreneurship. As we constantly strive to support entrepreneurial vibrancy in our local environment, the SPOT point will gain a new dimension and strengthen its advisory services in microfinance.
