Svibno forest learning trail

The forest trail has 13 points where signs describe the characteristics of the forest and nature: the importance of forests, forest etiquette, animals and plants in the forest, forest fruits, tree growth, pests and disasters in the forest, and the developmental stages of trees. One of the boards is a sound board and presents forest birds. Black and red markings, representing the logo of the trail – the ladybird – guide you to the points. Smaller boards present some of the tree species that are most common in the Svibno area. With stops at the viewpoints and at the signs along the way, the tour can be extended to more than two hours. The trail was created in 2010 by young people from Litija, members of the informal group Svizci, and co-funded by the European Community under the youth in action programme.
